WHO WE ARE.

Orchard Counselling is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and a BACP Accredited Service. We are based in Swindon and serve the local community as well as the wider area of Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, and West Berkshire. We offer affordable therapeutic contracts of up to 30 weeks.

We are a passionate team of counsellors, supervisors, assessors and various support roles. As a charity, we have a board of trustees who ensure that the organisation is fulfilling its charitable objectives, and that it is financially viable for future endeavours. Our work relies on fundraising in order to supplement our client fees. All of our counsellors have either completed in-depth training or are in the final stages of doing so. Their work is supported by regular personal therapy and weekly in-house supervision with a senior, supervisor-qualified counsellor or psychotherapist.

We offer an integrative approach to counselling, which involves drawing on techniques from different types of therapy to tailor an approach specifically for each individual. We believe there isn’t just one therapeutic approach that can help a client in all situations. Instead, we take into account each person as an individual and their circumstances, and may use elements of different approaches to help clients explore and cope with problems.

Counselling works for a range of short and long-term issues including: anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, addictions, bereavement and low self-esteem.
